Douglas had a fantastic time creating the role of Don in the Atlanta Theatre Club’s production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City.

The vulgar twenty-something comedian and soon-to-be divorced middle aged man, form an unlikely bond as they talk about their lives, their families, cancer, vibrators, condoms, and everything in between. The dialogue is fast paced and genuine, flowing seamlessly from humorous banter to emotional revelations without missing a beat. For anyone who’s life has been touched by cancer, this is a beautifully therapeutic show about life, death, fear, love, trust, and redemption. And for anyone else, it is a funny, touching show about human connection.
