Biography

Originally from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Douglas’ interest in acting began with his first pair of Superhero Underoos. The joy of pretend fired his passion and imagination for more. Some years later during rehearsals for his high school’s production of ‘Grease,’ Douglas came to realize he had found his haven. Studying in England at the British American Drama Academy and in Ithaca College’s BFA Acting Program soon followed. Upon graduation, Douglas did a summer of Shakespeare with the Hampshire Shakespeare Company.

Moving to New York City that fall, Douglas began his search for acting opportunities. A friend offered him to step into the recently vacated role of Bill in ‘Never Swim Alone.’ The production was so successful off-off-Broadway that it was transferred to an off-Broadway house. It was here that Douglas garnered critical acclaim for his work as Bill – including a caricature in the famed New Yorker Magazine. Douglas continued his pursuit of acting in Los Angeles and Atlanta finding work in commercials, TV, & film until his much welcomed return to NYC in 2023.
